Mr. Battas' Website

I am excited to be teaching at EHS. I spent the last 10 years teaching in District 7. My first 3 years were spent teaching 5th grade at Columbus Elementary School. I moved to Lincoln Middle School and taught Math, Social Studies and Language Arts for 5 years. The past two years I have specifically taught 7th grade American History. 

 

I graduated from the University of Illinois in 2005. Go Illini! I earned my Master's degree from SIUE in 2011 and obtained my secondary teaching certificate for Social Sciences in 2013. 

 

I have coached basketball in Edwardsville for the past 10 seasons. Currently, I am a varsity assistant for Coach Waldo. 

 

I live in Glen Carbon with my wife, Ashley, and our three year-old daughter, Beckett. In my free time I enjoy spending time with them.
